Explore The Eastern Canary Islands
If you have booked a holiday in Lanzarote this year then you can choose to visit not one but three Canary Islands in one go. As both La Graciosa and Fuerteventura are located very close to the shore of Lanzarote, which can in turn be found some 80 miles off the West African coast.
There are seven Canary Islands in total – or eight if you include the tiny islet of La Graciosa, which is home to a population of about 600 permanent residents. The Canaries offer sunshine all year round and as such are a much cheaper alternative to the Caribbean and Far East during the dark winter months in Northern Europe.
A good deal of tourists prefer to book Lanzarote holiday apartments direct online with the actual owners or one of the smaller local travel and leisure firms nowadays, thanks to advances in web based booking systems. A large percentage of Lanzarote private holiday villas boast their own private swimming pools, combined with an abundance of other household luxuries. Whilst nearly all apartments are located on well managed holiday complexes.
You’ll never be short of a whole host of attractions to do and explore on Lanzarote island but if you are staying in any of the great quality Lanzarote holiday villas that are offered for rent and fancy getting away from the poolside you’ll probably enjoy a day trip across to the neighbouring islands. As both La Graciosa and Fuerteventura can be reached in less than half an hour and the sea crossing to both is usually pretty calm, especially throughout the summer season.
Fuerteventura is the second biggest of the Canary Islands but remains quite undeveloped and is not very densely populated. Welcoming around 1.5 million foreign tourists every year, Fuerteventura´s main attractions are its beaches. Which are enormous by comparison with Lanzarote.
The beaches here are the main attraction. For example just outside Corralejo tourists can enjoy the 16km long stretch of sand that makes up the Dunas National Park. Whilst done in the south in Jandia are an abundance of golden sand beaches.
La Graciosa – or the Gracious One – is much smaller by comparison and totally undeveloped. With no tarmac roads and few cars. The local residents here get around in 4×4 taxis which also transport visitors to the best beaches around the island, such as La Concha on the opposite side of La Graciosa from the only occupied village of Caleta del Sebo. Visiting La Graciosa is much like stepping back in time as the pace of life here is so slow, even by comparison with neighbouring Lanzarote.
For a incredibly good sunshine holiday at any time of the year, a trip to Lanzarote will in all likelihood leave you nicely tanned and fully rested whenever you return home.

Once in a Lifetime Trips: The World’s 50 Most Extraordinary and Memorable Travel Experiences
Located near Greece Mainland is a tiny island called Agistri, with about a population of 1000 people. This allows for the picturesque island to be preserved in its natural state, without much interference from a bustling population. Being a famous tourist destination, it houses a number of hotels of a wide variety to serve its loyal tourist clientele.
Primary Factor: Budget
Some points should be evaluated before booking into one of the Agistri hotels. The first factor is whether the per night cost of stay at a hotel is within one’s budget; once this is established the choices remaining will be fewer and the decision can be made easily. The charges per night are in direct relation with the number of conveniences offered to its guests.
The number of surprises can be reduced if the internet and the hotels’ official websites are used to learn more about the services. Tourists can choose from a wide variety of bedrooms, suites and apartments. Special packages may be available for couples and families particularly during off seasons. Since most Agistri Hotels are small in size, room bookings should be completed well before hand to reduce chances of disappointments, particularly when travelling on fixed schedules.
Secondary Factor: Location
Location is another important consideration. As Agistri is a small island, Agistri hotels are not very far from the beaches. But since different beaches have different facilities available, location becomes crucial. For people who cannot travel by foot, the location of the hotel becomes even more important owing to the cost of hiring taxis for travelling around the island. The Agistri Island is accessible via boats and water taxis, and there is no fixed point of departure allowing individuals to reach the island at any specified location.
One should pick the right Agistri Hotels to fully enjoy the facilities on offer by Island Agistri.
